I started to play the guitar at the age of 14. My first inspirations were my brother and a guitarist named Neal Schon. Shortly after receiving my first guitar I was rummaging through my fathers CD collection and I came across “Joe Satriani: Crystal Planet”. Curious, I listened to it and ever since then Satriani has been my biggest influence/role model. My song Shadows was recorded in my bedroom using Pro Tools LE 6.9, E609 mic for the intro screaming and all guitars, Peavey JSX, 535q wah and my trusty JS1200. Drums via Dr770. This song was originally called “Shadows of the Flame”, inspired by my dark depressing and unforgettable past. Special Thanks to Steven Rosner for the countless hours of exchanging audio and critiquing. Without my dear friend Steve, I’m sure I wouldn’t have made it this far without you keeping me in check and constantly putting things into perspective.
